ES Windows Construction in Huntington Beach, CA | Elmwood Contractors
We provide independent ES Windows construction service across Huntington Beach, from re-glazing single-hung units in 92646 to re-screening aluminum sliders on beach-block homes in 92648. The one thing that makes our ES Windows work different here is simple: we know how salt air destroys these assemblies, and we know which parts actually hold up within the coastal zone. As a general contractor, not a manufacturer affiliate, we give you straight answers about repair versus replacement. Call (866) 253-8554 for a free estimate.
Why Huntington Beach Residents Choose Us for ES Windows Service
We’ve spent years re-glazing, re-screening, and re-framing ES Windows units across Huntington Beach’s coastal tract homes, so we know exactly how their vinyl and aluminum assemblies fail in salt air. Our crew stocks the correct ES Window screen frames, rollers, and weatherstripping for the product lines actually installed here, and we document every repair with photos and measurements. No guesswork, no manufacturer claims. Nolan Shepherd, our owner, grew up in Fullerton’s Sunny Hills neighborhood and spent his twenties on ground-up residential work across North Orange County. He’s run Elmwood Contractors for two decades, and he specs every part the way he’d want it done on his own house. We’re also a General Contractor – Huntington Beach single-source operation, which means we coordinate the entire project under one plan rather than handing you off between specialty subs.

Common ES Windows Construction Problems We Solve in Huntington Beach
- Salt-air corrosion on aluminum ES Window frames and fasteners. Pitting and white oxidation along the bottom rail and hinge points show up fast on beach-block homes in 92648 and 92649. We clean, treat, and replace corroded fasteners before they seize the frame entirely.
- Vinyl slider tracks packed with wind-driven sand and marine grit. West-facing ES Windows units catch onshore wind and sand year-round, causing rollers to flat-spot and panels to jump the track. We pull the sash, clear the track bed, and swap the rollers before the frame takes damage.
- Failed weatherstripping and glazing seals on ES Windows single-hung units. Years of UV and salt fog break down the seals, which leads to whistling drafts and water intrusion during winter rain. We replace the weatherstripping with profiles matched to the original ES Windows channel.
- Screen frame corrosion and spline shrinkage on ES Windows insect screens. The aluminum frame oxidizes and the spline pulls out of the groove, especially on older 1980s-90s installations. We rebuild screens with corrosion-resistant frame stock and proper spline tension.
- Fogged or failing insulated glass on ES Windows casement and awning units. When the seal fails, moisture gets between the panes. We re-glaze single units when the frame is solid, and tell you honestly when multiple failures mean replacement is the smarter spend.
ES Windows Service in Huntington Beach: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
Huntington Beach’s coastal zone review can require window replacements to meet specific wind-load and salt-spray durability standards that inland Orange County jobs never face. So even a straightforward ES Windows swap near the beach may need coastal development permits and upgraded fasteners. On a 1962 ranch-style home off Atlanta Avenue in the 92646 ZIP, our crew found the original ES Windows aluminum sliders frozen in their tracks with white salt corrosion along the bottom rails. We replaced the rollers, re-screened two panels, and re-glazed one fogged unit, then re-flashed the exterior trim where stucco had pulled away. The homeowner said the windows hadn’t opened smoothly in a decade; after our Fountain Valley ES Windows service-level repair they slide with one finger and the drafts are gone. That’s the difference between a contractor who works in Surf City and one who drives down from inland and treats it like any other job.
ES Windows Models & Products We Service in Huntington Beach
We service the ES Windows product lines actually installed across Huntington Beach: Series 50 vinyl single-hung, Series 70 vinyl slider, the builder-grade aluminum horizontal slider, and the casement and awning series. For parts, we use OEM-compatible ES Windows rollers, screen frames, and weatherstripping when the profile matches exactly. Otherwise we source high-quality aftermarket parts that meet or exceed the original spec. If a frame is corroded through or the glass seal is failing across multiple units, we tell you honestly when a full ES Windows replacement makes more sense than piecemeal repairs. AfterES Windows Service Pricing in Huntington Beach
What drives the cost on ES Windows work in Huntington Beach is the same thing that drives everything else here: salt air, permit requirements, and the age of the original installation. A simple roller swap on a 92646 slider costs far less than ES Windows service in Midway City-style re-glazing of multiple fogged units on a beach-block home in 92648. Every estimate we give is a written, line-item quote, and the number we quote is the number you pay. No change orders unless you ask for something different. Here are the price ranges you can expect for common ES Windows-related work:
| Service | Price Range |
|---|---|
| Window Replacement | $4500 – $15000 |
| Impact Window Installation | $8000 – $25000 |
| Full Bathroom Remodeling | $9000 – $28000 |

FAQs – ES Windows Construction in Huntington Beach
Yes, if the corrosion is surface-level and hasn’t eaten through the frame wall. We clean the oxidation, treat the pits, replace rollers and weatherstripping, and re-flash the trim. When the aluminum is structurally compromised, we tell you replacement is the only honest fix.
Often yes. Huntington Beach’s coastal zone review applies to many window replacements, especially on homes east of Pacific Coast Highway and within the coastal overlay. We check your address against current city requirements before we quote, so there are no surprises mid-project. Call (866) 253-8554 for a site-specific answer.
Because cleaning the visible track doesn’t remove the wind-driven sand that packs into the lower channel. That grit flat-spots the rollers and leaves the panel sitting unevenly, so it jumps. We pull the sash, clear the bed, replace the rollers, and set the panel height correctly.
Yes, we match the frame profile and spline diameter to the original ES Windows spec for that era. If the exact frame extrusion is no longer available, we use an aftermarket profile with the same dimensions and a better corrosion coating. The fit is tight and the screen tension is correct.
Salt air corrodes the operator arms and pivot hardware faster than the frame, especially on east-facing units that hold morning marine layer moisture. We replace the operators with ES Windows repair in Westminster-grade hardware and lube the pivot points with a marine-grade lubricant. If the arm is seized, we don’t force it; we swap it before the gear strips.
